Ruger's Puppies - Five Weeks

This week's pictures have been delayed … sorry about that!  It has been so cold lately that it was hard to get good pictures, since we try to take most of them outside at this age.  Also thanks to the cold, we have started crate training.

We usually do not crate train a litter of nine puppies for the simple reason that it gets complicated when all nine wake up at the same time, and they all have to go to the bathroom really bad, and you're trying to rush them all to the door … well, you can just imagine!  But since these past few nights have been so cold, we did not want them outside, even with the heater in their pen.  The first night I hardly got any sleep, the next few nights have been better :)

They're figuring out the not-going-potty-in-the-crate part really well … it's just trying to get them all out the door on time and then trying to convince them that 4:00am is not the time to run around the house and play!  Thankfully they have started only having to get up once in the night so it shouldn't be long before they're sleeping all the way through.

Miss Nevada is available

She is a very playful puppy

And she likes cats :)

I thought this was a funny pose!

Sierra is our other available female.

She isn't quite as photogenic as some of the other puppies!

But she is a really sweet, calm, laid-back girl.

And Sheriff is our only available male puppy!

Trying to pick up a trail :)

You can see the little white mark on his chest in this picture.

Is that a pretty boy or what?!

Here is Mr. Adam

He is going to Arkansas!

My sister Abigail took most of the pictures on a pile of wood chips that is sitting in our front yard … I think her reasoning was that it would make it difficult for the puppies to run around while she was trying to get their pictures!

Here is Hoss

I think the cat likes him better than he likes her!

Look at the crossed paws! Ruger often crosses her paws when she is laying down!

Little Joe

I know this is an unusual angle but I like how it shows his white color!

Kitty wants to play too!

This is Marshal

The closed eyes made me laugh!

The puppies love my little kitten … and she loves them too!

Here is Miss Ponderosa

She has just been reserved and will be going to Mississippi!

Snuggly girl … sometimes :)

And last but not least, Sagebrush

Yesterday she figured out how to get into the puppy food bag while all the rest of her siblings were playing!

I like the lighting in this one!

These puppies will be ready for their new homes next week so if you're interested in one of the available ones, please contact me by email, or call 615-765-3110 or text 615-631-9312.
